Do you have any guest artists lined up at Kamar Kaisar?+

We are happy to announce that our dear friend Delia Vico from Italy will be doing a guest spot at our studio on 16-18 May. For bookings with Delia, please visit our Bookings page.

Do you have any open positions for tattoo artists or apprentices?+

Our team is currently complete, which means we do not have any available positions for tattoo artists nor apprentices.

Do you sell any of your artists' artwork or merchandise?+

Our artists' artwork and merchandise are exclusive available through creative & design agency Kaisar Kolektif. We also have artwork and merchandise in stock at our studio.

We usually book 2 or 3 months ahead. Tattoo bookings will be handled through the Bookings page only, once we start accepting new appointments for a certain booking period. The booking section will be active once our artists start accepting new bookings and will be disabled again once they are fully booked for that particular period. Our artists will be announcing on their socials when their books will open up. Good thing to know is that subscribers to our newsletter will be notified before our artists will announce their booking date on social media, therefore we highly recommend to subscribe to our newsletter.

Can I make an appointment through e-mail, Instagram DM, BigCartel or by phone? +

No, unfortunately not. Our bookings can only be made by through our Bookings page.

Why am I unable to submit my request through the Booking page? +

If you're not able to submit your request through our Bookings page, it means that the particular artist hasn't open up their books, yet. If this is the case, the Booking Form is inactive and will be active again once they open up their books again.

Do you work with a wait list? +

We do not work with a wait list, however if you want to stay updated on future bookings, we highly recommend to subscribe to our newsletter. Subscribers of our newsletter will be notified on the latest news before any announcements will be made on social media.

Whicb info do I have to prepare before I submit my tattoo request?+

All required information will be asked while you’re filling in your artist’s booking form, however you could already gather the following info:

• Your idea;
• Preferred size of tattoo (in cm.);
• Placement on your body;
• Any references; this can be any imagery that could clarify your idea more.

Do the artists take on every request they receive?+

Due to the large amount of requests, our artists are only capable of taking on a select number of requests. Unfortunately, this means that our artists are not able to take on all submitted requests.

How will I know if my request has passed the selection?+

We will notify you by e-mail if your request has passed the selection or not. Further booking details will be provided if your request has passed the selection.

If your submission did not make the cut, we will always clarify the reason why your request didn't pass the selection.

How can I confirm my appointment when my request has passed the selection?+

Once your request has passed the selection, we will suggest available dates to you for your appointment(s). To confirm one of the suggested dates, a non-refundable deposit of €150 is required for tattoos that could be finished in 1 session or €250 for larger projects (sleeves, backpieces, etc.). Payment details will be provided to you by email and payments can be done by Paypal, cash or Tikkie.

Will the deposit come off the total price off the tattoo?+

For sure! Your prepaid deposit will come off the total price of the tattoo. If your tattoo requires multiple sessions to finish, the deposit will be deducted at the end of the last session.

Do you take on any walk-ins?+

We’re currently not taking any walk-ins, unfortunately. However, we could always recommend other great tattoo artists to get tattooed by, if we're unable to fit you in.

Our artists do not charge by hour, but per piece or session.

Do you work with a minimum? +

We do not work with a particular minimum, as the pricing really depends on a particular request.

Could you give a price indication in advance? +

The price range really depends on the size, amount of details and time that goes into the design and tattoo. It's always good to know what to expect and therefore we always give a rough price indication in advance, once your request has passed the artist's selection.

What kind of payment methods do you offer? +

We accept cash, Tikkie (Dutch based customers only), bank transfer (IBAN only), Paypal & cards (non-Dutch based customers only).

Which currency do you accept?+

We only accept Euro € in our studio.

Creating an inclusive, comfortable and save space for ALL our customers is our top priority. We identify our business and team members as LGBTQ+, POC, disability & vegan friendly, so we encourage all people to submit their requests, once our artists' books are open. No matter what your background is, you are welcome at our studio! As long as you're at least 18 or older.

Can I get tattooed at Kamar Kaisar if you have a medium or dark skin tone? +

Most definitely; we tattoo all skin tones! All members of our team come from different backgrounds themselves and are experienced in tattooing light, medium and dark skin tones. As some of our team members are medium to dark toned as well, we can always give well-considered and expertised advice from our own experience.

Is Kamar Kaisar disability friendly+

Our studio is located on the ground floor and accessible by wheelchair. If you require any special needs during your appointment, please let us know in advance and we will assist you further to secure a comfortable experience at our studio.

Do you tattoo with vegan friendly inks?+

Yes! Our artists work with vegan friendly ink. Ingredient lists are available on request, so just reach out to us if you have any questions!

Do you tattoo with vegan friendly inks?+

You're welcome to get tattooed by one of our artists, if you're at least 18 years old. We strictly don't tattoo people under 18, even with parental permission.

We communicate in either English or Dutch in our studio and through email. Though, we do understand French, Bahasa Indonesia and (Moluccan) Malay, as well.

How can I reach Kamar Kaisar from abroad by plane? +

Rotterdam has its own airport Rotterdam/The Hague, however we do not recommend to travel via this airport. The most convenient way to travel by plane is to arrive at our national airport Amsterdam Schiphol. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport offers more affordable flights, especially if you're traveling from a non-EU country.

Rotterdam is easily accessible from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by train. We highly recommend taking the Intercity Direct, which is a high-speed service that takes you to Rotterdam in just 20 minutes (regular train service will take about 1 hour from the airport). You can get your tickets for the Intercity Direct here. Please note that there is a supplement ticket of €2.60 required on top of your regular train ticket, if you take the Intercity Direct. There are direct international train connections to Rotterdam Central train station from Antwerp, Mechelen, Brussels, Marne-la-Vallée & Paris.

How can I reach Kamar Kaisar from abroad by car? +

Rotterdam is easily accessible from most parts of Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Germany.

There are limited parking spots available in our street, however parking rates are a bit expensive in the nearby area (€4 p/h). Therefore, we recommend parking your car in the nearby parking lot 'Schouwburgplein 2'. The parking rates at this parking lot are €2 p/h and from here it's a 6-minute walk to our studio, if you take the 'De Doelen/Centrum' exit.

Do you have any overnight recommendations? +

Yes! We've partnered up with our favourite place to stay in Rotterdam, so that our (international) customers can exclusively benefit special rates and discounts! Overnight recommendations will be send along with the appoinment confirmation once your appointment has been confirmed.

Rotterdam Central Station has direct train connections to most (larger) cities in the Netherlands. Our studio is a 10-minute walk from Rotterdam Central station. Click here for the fastest directions by foot from the train station.

How can I reach your study by car and where can I park? +

Our studio is easily accessible if you're traveling by car. However, as our studio is located nearby the city centre, it might be very busy on the road and there are often traffic jams in the nearby area.

There are limited parking spots available in our street, however parking rates are a bit expensive in the nearby area (€4 p/h).
